Step-by-Step Claims Process

1

Ensure Safety at the Scene

Move to a safe location if possible. Turn on hazard lights and set up reflective triangles or flares. Check yourself and others for injuries. Your safety comes first.

2

Call 911 If There Are Injuries

If anyone is injured, call 911 immediately. Even if injuries seem minor, get medical attention documented. Request a police report - you will need the report number for your claim.

3

Document Everything

Take photos of all vehicles involved, damage, road conditions, traffic signs, and the overall scene from multiple angles. Get the police report number, other driver's insurance information, and contact details for any witnesses.

4

Contact Your Insurance Broker

Call Full Coverage at 317-427-5599 as soon as you are safe. We will guide you through the claims process, help you file with the correct carrier, and advocate on your behalf throughout the process.

5

File the Claim with Your Carrier

We will help you submit the claim to your insurance company with all the necessary documentation. The sooner you file, the faster the process moves. Most carriers require notification within 24-72 hours.

6

Work with the Adjuster

Your insurance company will assign an adjuster to investigate the claim. Cooperate fully, provide requested documentation, but do not admit fault or speculate about causes. Let us handle communications when possible.

7

Follow Up and Document

Keep records of all communications, repair estimates, medical bills, and lost income. Follow up regularly on claim status. We track every claim and push for timely resolution.

What to Keep in Your Truck

Be prepared before an accident happens. Keep these items in your cab at all times:

  • Current insurance card and policy number
  • Vehicle registration
  • CDL and medical card
  • Emergency contact list (broker, dispatcher, family)
  • Accident report form (pre-printed blank copies)
  • Disposable camera or phone charger
  • Pen and notepad
  • Reflective triangles or flares
  • First aid kit

What NOT to Do After an Accident

  • Do not admit fault or apologize for the accident
  • Do not sign any documents at the scene (except the police report)
  • Do not give a recorded statement to the other party's insurance without consulting us first
  • Do not delay reporting the accident to your broker
  • Do not post about the accident on social media
  • Do not agree to any settlement without reviewing it with your broker
  • Do not leave the scene before the police arrive (if injuries are involved)
